Thoughts:
1) Anytime there are more than two teams with perfect records, the title game -- by default -- automatically is a dubious matchup. We have that scenario again this year, so the BCS did not work, people;
2) Auburn looked more impressive than Oregon on Saturday, but there's no underestimating a rivalry game. They always are tougher to win than mere conference title games against random opponents from the other side of the world;
3) Virginia Tech ran the table after its opening missteps. Nice;
4) With conference titles games of their own in 2011, the Big Ten and the Pac-12 will be on the forefront of the BCS discussions once again -- as tradition always mandates.
